Terre Exotique Blackcurrant Pepper Powder, 12g

Terre Exotique’s blackcurrant pepper powder is grown in the Burgundy region of France. It has a tangy, fruity aroma that complements both sweet and savoury dishes. With a surprising flavour that is similar to juicy blackcurrants, it’s fruity, spicy and slightly bitter.  

This prized French pepper is neither a pepper nor a berry – it’s actually the bud of the blackcurrant which is harvested before the fruit is formed.

This fruity pepper is a perfect match for rich, smooth chocolate. Try adding it to dark chocolate tortes, brownies, truffles and sweet sauces. On the savoury side, blackcurrant pepper pairs well with chicken, duck and pâté. Try adding a pinch to a Kir Royale to give the classic aperitif a unique, spicy twist.
